Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month

In the United States, American Cancer Society has estimated more than 110,070 new cases of gynecologic cancer will be diagnosed this year alone. An estimated 32,120 female deaths nationwide will be attributed to gynecologic cancer in 2018. These cancers affect the female reproductive system and include the cervix, endometrial, Fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus and vagina.


In an effort to increase public awareness about gynecologic cancers, Cool Water Cones has joined other organizations nationwide to promote Gynecologic Cancer Awareness during the month of September.





Gynecologic cancer facts ALL women should know:


  1. Spread the word "Love your lady parts with an annual exam"
  2. All women over age 18 should have a yearly Pap test (also known as a Pap Smear) including a pelvic exam to establish a pattern of gynecologic health.
  3. Talk with your gynecologist, know how to best protect yourself and your loved ones from HPV. American Cancer Society estimates 70% of ALL female cancer is caused by the HPV virus!!!
  4. HPV is currently the ONLY FEMALE CANCER THAT IS PREVENTABLE THROUGH IMMUNIZATION.
  5. TODAY on average, every 4.7 minutes, another woman in this country will be diagnosed with a life threatening cancer of her reproductive organs.
